Process

I will listen very carefully to you and respond to what I hear with questions for you to consider. Sometimes it is just a small thought or statement that can lead to an important shift for you. I am not attached to being right. If I’m of target, just tell me and we continue on. It's a process.

The relationship between you and me is a "co-creative" one. We are equals in your sessions. I am a trained coach and I use skilled communication to guide you throughout the coaching process and helping you reach your goals.

Take care of yourself! It’s the only way you can continue to take care of your family!

  1. 01. My Role

    I will listen very carefully to you and respond to what I hear with questions for you to consider. Sometimes it is just a small thought or statement that can lead to an important shift for you. I am not attached to being right. If I’m of target, just tell me and we continue on. It's a process.

    I am not a therapist or consultant and you will not get a diagnosis or a treatment plan. I assume that you are emotionally healthy and understand that problems and emotions are part of life. I also believe that you are capable of experiencing and handling your emotions.

    My role is to help you assess options and take meaningful actions that will improve your situation, whatever it may be.  

    Each session involves thoughtful conversation about your agenda.  I will listen carefully and provide feedback and insights.    

    I might also offer opportunities for you to build on the work we’re doing between sessions,  perhaps by writing something or taking some type of action. The decision to do so is up to you of course.  We will strategize together. 

  2. 02. Your Role

    Your role is bring your agenda to each session. Please take some time before we begin each session to think about what you would like to talk about and what is important for you to take away from your session.

    Remember that emotions are normal and may come up as we talk.  That is just fine!  We will acknowledge your feelings and use them as we work towards getting you to your goal for the session.

    You are always free to contact me between sessions if you have something you want to talk about or an update about something we've already discussed. The best way to to this is to send me an email and I will either suggest a quick phone call or add it to our next session as an agenda item.

     

  3. 03. Next Steps

    Take care of yourself! It’s the only way you can continue to take care of your family!

    Coaching sessions take place by phone and last anywhere from 45-60 minutes. This time belongs to you and your sessions are absolutely confidential.

    We schedule 3 sessions per month. You will receive an initial email from me with information about the terms and agreement for our sessions and some questions to answer about yourself that will help me get to know you better. And we go from there.
